Blonde Headset Insanity…or Scottish?

I have had my hair many colors other than blonde over the years…I know you are shocked…you thought it was natural. I am not afraid to give my secret away! I can’t really tell you what my natural hair color is to be quite honest…..when I was little it was very blonde, as I got older it darkened but before I hit puberty I learned about hair dye and its been out of a bottle “au naturel” ever since!

Blonde just seems to suit me the best and doesn’t have me question who is staring back at me in the mirror when I take a look!  It’s not necessarily because I like the color…it’s more because it matches my personality….yes I know  the blonde stereotype that comes to mind but I personally think it is that blondes are sassy and have tons of fun! I am the “sassmaster!”…but you can call me Tammy because I don’t know you all that well yet.  (You can only call your really good friends by the nicknames they give themselves….anyone else….it is just abnormal…I don’t know why….stop asking…it’s just the rules okay?!)

I have “blonde” moments…well actually I am not sure if this would be classed as a blonde moment or more of a “Scottish” moment…. My headset for my cell phone broke quite some time ago and I was so disappointed because I used it a lot (obviously…it broke!)  I didn’t want to spend money on a new one because the one that broke came with the phone and it was free and I thought headsets would cost a bazillion dollars! That is how they get you with the “free phone” you know…all a conspiracy I tell you! I am not paranoid!! (who said that?)

So I went to Dollarama and purchased a $2 headset.  After opening it and trying to answer my first call on it, I discovered that it was only earphones and NOT a headset for my cell…..okay….not so bright….could have read the packaging and saw that!

Side Note: I am not someone who reads the manual to discover how to use something….I am more of a “hmmmm….what’s this? Let’s take it for a spin and see what happens” kind of girl….Please don’t let me operate your brand new equipment or anything unless you have told me how…I will not read the manual…it doesn’t interest me….what interests me is “discovering” how something works all on my own with no help from the manual! NOW THAT IS FUN ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!! I really have to get out more…..

Back to the headset…right…so I threw out the headset and headed back to Dollarama, I picked up another $2 headset…only to discover, it was the same one I bought last time….so I take it back….pick up another one….the ear piece on this one is too big….go back to buy ANOTHER one….buy it…discover different brand…same issue….doesn’t have cell phone capability….(what is the definition of insanity again? Oh yeah! Doing the same thing expecting a different result…got it)  I gave up on Dollarama after five tries and $10 + taxes later….then I go to an actual store store (you know women say stuff like “store store” to get you to understand it was a real one and not a fake one…maybe that is how pizza pizza got its name? hmmm….smart…at least we all know it’s for real…) where the sales clerk let me know I could pick a great set for my cell and ipod AND get a 3 year warranty included so if anything happens to it, I can come back in and hand it back and get a new one for $16 tax IN!

See, I can’t decide if it was a combination of being a blonde that I kept buying ones that didn’t work and/or being Scottish so I was being cheap and didn’t want to spend the money that now my $16 headset actually cost me $26 +some tax…..oh the insanity of it all!

I don’t even know anymore what the point of this was….you should go read a manual instead….

This is me creeping up on you reading a manual! Muwaahahahaha

 

I’m a Hugger NOT a Mugger!

That’s pretty good news isn’t it! I love hugging people….just because…. I love hugging them even when they don’t know that I’m going to hug them… it’s kind of weird for them… but awesome for me! 

The element of surprise!!

One of the things that I’ve noticed though is being involved with a boyfriend who’s  Italian(by the way…GREAT in the affection department…so if you are like me and love affection…Italians are where it’s at. <I got paid nothing to say that by the way…not even an espresso!>)  is that Italians hug and kiss each time they meet. So, I need somebody to tell me, because it’s been awkward in the hugging/kissing department  for the last 7 years….do you hug and kiss to the left or hug and kiss to the right first? I don’t know how this actually goes and what usually ends up happening is an awkward moment with me and an Italian trying to hug it out and kiss cheeks and then sometimes I end up kissing them on the lips and then it’s really weird… Maybe they like it? Maybe they like making sure that it’s awkward for everyone else who’s not Italian so that they get lots of lip kisses in their day!

Yeah! Well us Scottish/Norwegian people… we don’t do weird things like that, do we? I don’t even know!  I need to know what we do as Scottish Norwegians… maybe we actually do have some kind of a high-five or something….Maybe we kiss foreheads?  Hmmm…. that’s what I should take on from now on… I’ll just grab people and kiss them on the forehead and hug them… That won’t be awkward at all.

It won’t be awkward for me because I will know what’s going to happen… it may be awkward for them… I wonder what response I would get?

I will walk right up to somebody and give them a big hug and as they go in for the kiss on the cheek, I just grab their head and kiss their forehead… That could be a lot of fun…. I think this will be my new thing to do!

Muwaaahhhhhhhh!!!

This should be on a billboard for something…like “Vote for Me and FREE HUGS FOR ALL!”

Being Scottish: Pros and Cons….

Do you trust other people? I tend not to…..want something done a certain way?….do it yourself…..

That is what I say!

I have never been great at training people….they either have it or they don’t…..I commend people who can train others…..I am like a train wreck trying to do that….always have been….

I am one of those people who can produce a result and would take an army to do the same thing…..lol…not being arrogant, literally want it done a certain way!

But only when it is something specific I want done….I am pretty laid back in every other way.

If you want to cook me a meal, you are pretty much in the clear unless you want to cook me haggis or snake….these are the lines I do not cross….I do not care for one second care that my background is Scottish…there is no way to convince me that haggis is something we, as humans, should eat….

I think this came from some demented Scottish man’s idea….”here Las! Let us stuff this sheep with fixin’s and cut him open later and bake him……he will be very tasty……”

Ummm….no…..I think the sheep will be on to you…….suddenly he is stuff to the gills with food…..and you are looking at him drooling…..yeah…YOU are busted!  YOU are weird!!!

Being Scottish does  not mean you agree will ALL the practices….now men wearing kilts? It is ABOUT TIME men experienced what it is like to wear a dress!!
